See the world through my eyes

Prayer, Physics, Pressure, Playlists and Princesses

Hello there!

Fancy meeting you here!

So, as of late I’ve wanted to move schools.  I don’t know why – I want a change of environment.  Being in such a tiny school means I get barely any competition and this means I don’t have to try as hard to do well, meaning I’m probably not going to improve all that much.

I was praying.  I didn’t know what to do.  I didn’t know if I should move schools or not.

Today one of my teachers came up to me and talked to me about VCE [Year 11 and 12, basically the most important years of school, Victorial equivalent of HSC] and about moving schools.

Cool, huh?

It just goes to show.  If you have any problem whatsoever, be it big or tiny, prayer is a powerful thing.  God answers prayers.

She also convinced me to start taking Year 11 Physics starting tomorrow, as well as Year 11 Business Management which I’m already doing.

How the VCE system works, each subject [eg Physics, Chemistry, Specialist Maths] is broken into four units – Units 1 2 3 and 4.  You normally do Units 1 and 2 in Year 11 and Units 3 and 4 in year 12.

Some schools offer capable year tens a VCE subject [or two] to do so you’ve already got one 1&2 out of the way.

I’ve been feeling rather pressured lately as well, school, homework, work, thus the lack of posts.

I’ve also decided to put the Playlists project on hold.  It’s no longer on the checklist, because I don’t want to feel pressured that I have to make the page quickly.

Now, what about princesses?

  1. Pirates start with the letter P, too. I should’ve put a picture of pirates on the peculiar post.

  2. Josh! Don’t stress. 🙂 God is on your side and school isn’t supposed to be stressful. I know; I’m a complete hypocrite. But do as I say, not as I do.

It suprising, our final exams are so different. Mines called the HSC. All subjects are divided into units. Most subjecs are worth 2 units, and extension subjects (like ext. Maths, ext. English 1, ext. English 2, ext. History etc…) are worth 1 unit. In year 11, you have to do at least 12 of these units. In year 12, you have to do at least 10.

    Weird huh?
Well, what ever decision you make regarding your school, I hope it’s the one that makes you the most happy. 🙂

  3. I love Princess Peach 😀

  4. Mate, I’m doing unit 1 & 2 methods. 🙂 Maths & English were always my forte.

  5. So wait, do you only get to pick 4 subjects?!?

  6. @Phi; oh, that’s cool =] My school doesn’t offer all too many subjects, unfortunately.

@Squishy; Umm, I think we can pick more…I think.

  7. Oh, that’s good. Otherwise it would get so boring! I do 6 subjects. 🙂

  8. I was thinking the same thing about moving schools. I’ve wanted to move schools for a while now. But it’s not because it’s too small – it’s because I’m too shy. If I moved schools I could have a fresh, confident new start. But I doubt that’s going to happen, even if I did pray to God. I guess I’m just gonna have to find new confidence somewhere else.

Anyway, thanks for putting the Feeling Red sponsorship banner up! =D
